Projects
Our goal is to facilitate the management of children with leukemia, cancer and other severe diseases in developing countries by providing professional education opportunities, qualified medical advice, drugs, medical equipment, family support programs, web-based patient management tools, support to create national networks and associations dealing with childhood cancer and blood disorders, and research grants. We provide access to reference managing, scientific literature, subscription to major medical journals, and support for statistical analysis, open peer review and English language editing of scientific manuscripts and grant applications will also be provided.
Project Kosovo
To support both financially and professionally local institutions and families in order to provide the best chances of cure to children with cancer, leukemia and severe blood diseases who would otherwise not have access to therapy (photos).
Project Pakistan
Support financially and professionally local institutions and families in order to provide the best available tratment to children with severe disesases such as thalassemia and prove that in many instances the same procedure performed in Italy can be safely and successfully applied in Pakistan. The focus is on promoting sustainability, local ownership and professional self-reliance (photos).
Open source development
Our aim is to evaluate the feasibility and usefulness of open source software applied to knowledge transfer, continuing medical education, collaborative clinical databases, decision support systems and quality management in the context of collaborations with medical institutions in developing countries.
